Hello 2019

2019 has started with a bang, a financial bang!

Firstly Chris's Range Rover needs a new gear box, or something like that, and it is looking like a £2000 bill!! He is hoping to reclaim some of it under warranty.

Meanwhile a chance remark about our bedroom which is looking very tired and dated has led to a complete new bedroom being planned. I guess this is good as it has meant a major uncluttering with sack after sack going to the Charity shop and just as much going in the bin.
While Chris removed the wardrobes, cupboard etc. I worked on the mountains of photos we seem to have accumulated. While this was a great trip down memory lane I was pretty ruthless.
This is the third car full of recycling to go to the Charity Shop

Holes in the carpet where once a wardrobe and chest on drawers stood.

More holes and now the awful green walls long covered by furniture are on show.
We are still managing to sleep in this room, but for how much longer I don't know.

Chaos in the spare room with all our clothes on temporary rails that we managed to pick up
on the local on line market place, two for £10.
The little bedroom is so full of "stuff" I did not manage to get a photo.
We have made a couple of trips to Ikea looking at furniture, and visited the Dunelm sale looking at curtains. Now to find a painter and decorator and sort out the new carpet. All great fun a week before we go on holiday!

A breath of air in the garden and I spotted snowdrops peaking through the fallen leaves.

Spring must surely be around the corner as a primula is also flowering.

I wish you a healthy Happy New Year.
