Starting a table runner

The new coffee table we bought recently needs a cover so having sorted through all my machine embroidery designs I have made a start. I matched the threads to the new colours of wool I have chosen for my next crochet project. Come back later to see the finished item.

Design by Jenny Haskins using my Brother 4000D embroidery machine
Managed to complete the table cloth before friends arrived for the evening.

Beige craft cotton from BSK using Marathon threads

Instead of using the usual tear-away as a backing, which drives me mad removing it,
I used wash-away, first wash and it will be gone.

Wash away stabilizer is wonderful! I use it when I make towels and pillowcases for my grandchildren. I tell them that Geema has a special way to tell if they used their gift.
