Boys Toys

Chris is playing using his new toy. He has always wanted a garden shredder and managed to buy one at the Emmaus Charity shop for £30 recently.
I am not sure we will have any garden left until he gets bored using it!
However we had decided our front garden was a real mess with lots of ivy and other horrid weeds growing among the overgrown Hebe bushes and leggy roses covered in black spot. The intention is for all of it to go and a strong weed killer applied, then we will start again.

The Hebe bushes and lavender plants seem to do well in this poor soil on a slope bank so I will probably buy the same again when it comes time to re-plant.
