Different box method

My manic box making session continues. This time I had a couple of pieces of fabric that I really did not think suitable for cathedral window style as the fabric design would have been lost.

I cut 5 pieces of Bosal foam [ I am beginning to sound like an advert for it!] 5 1/2 inches square and 5 pieces of fabric 6 1/2 inches square in the main fabric and 5 pieces in the lining fabric.

Ironed the Bosal to the main fabric pieces they joined them together by sewing a 1/2 inch seam starting 1/2 inch in and finishing 1/2 inch in from the ends. This makes it easy to sew all the pieces together in a box shape. Do the same with the lining fabric.

Ready for joining together
With right side out insert the lining into the box turn the top to the inside and match with the lining. Top stitch close to the edge... Bingo a box!

Love the flower fabric and the Row by Row 'number plate' fabric.
Two really simple to make boxes
