University of Leicester Botanical Garden

Although the weather forecast was not very good we decided to go out for the day.

First stop Poppy Patch at Gt Doddington to buy a June Tailor Basting Spray.  A light shower as we headed north to Oadby near Leicester to visit the Botanical Gardens for the first time.

The rain stopped when we arrived and what a treat... the gardens are really nice and very inspiring, we visited just about every area, Hardy Fuchsia beds, water sunken garden, herbs, poison bed etc etc..

Next stop the Fabric Warehouse where I bought 2 yards of Bosal 144 inch wide batting and had a quick look around, resisting the temptation to buy fabric [ I have enough to last a life time!]

Tired and hungry we stopped at the Fox Pond Restaurant for a very nice 2 for £10.99 meal deal.
This is a free to enter garden
